This community organization has been pivotal in raising awareness of the arts, promoting participation and enlivening our area with classes, events and activities. Many events are free to the public and offer anyone who has the interest, entree into the creative process and the wonderful world of art. They have graced our community with Public Art projects and breathed new life into an end of the summer festival. And not least, Frederic Arts provides local artists with teaching, learning, exhibiting and community involvement opportunities.

As Frederic Arts approaches its tenth year, the needs are many: The old Legion Hall building urgently needs ADA access, new restrooms, more classroom space and a new roof. A ceramics program is in the works that needs equipment and supplies. Every improvement and higher level requires hard work, money, volunteer participation and sometimes a leap of faith; Faith that the vision and hard work will be worth the effort.

This will be an exciting year as One 10 Gallery teams up with Red Iron Studio to host another Tour.  The Red Iron space will magically transform from a working welding shop to a much cleaner display space for six artists and their work.  Come meet them and on Saturday and enjoy a taste of northwest Wisconsin first craft beer, brewed in Dallas, Valkyrie Brewing.

One 10 Gallery will also be an official "Gallery" Tour Stop and invites you to wander back and forth between the adjacent building in search of art, beer and fun.

First Friday, May 5th

Join us for our very first, First Friday May 5th, 2017.  We are starting a series of summer First Fridays when we will feature two artists' work with a reception at the gallery, from 5-8PM.  Snacks and refreshments provided.

We hope you will share our excitement May 5th when we showcase the work of potter Christy Wetzig and quilter Karen Brandt.  You can see images of their work elsewhere on this website.

Christy is new to the Frederic area and she and her family have plans to build west of town in the coming years.  Her very functional wood fired pieces are a joy to have around.  Batter bowls, salt sellers, plates, and of course mugs as well as some handsome covered lanterns. Pierced to let the candle light out, they are a perfect addition to an porch, deck, or even safe for a special indoor space.

Karen Brandt's colorful quilts showcase her design talents and thread & needle wizardry.  We are truly honored to be able to show about a dozen of her recent works.  A sharp and spry septuagenarian, Karen lives outside Frederic with her amazing cat.
